The wing came about because I was asked to create a pieces of jewelry that was about Chicago. Sharon Schneider of AIM Local (Artists, Inventors, Makers) was creating a subscription based box and she wanted something unique to include. So I thought about it and most Chicago charms are the about the skyline. I thought about it and and to me I, I thought we (Chicagoans) could use some luck. The city like any big city has it’s bad points and a little mojo protection against it, wouldn’t be bad. What’s better the having an angel to watch over you? The wing is a little bit of mojo towards the city and the people I have spent my whole life so far. Did you know, that Chicago is a pisces city? yep, March 4th. Pisces are giving to a fault, they can give so much they have nothing left. I want to give something back to my Pisces city. Every month for any sales of the wing charm, I will give a portion of the sales to a local charity and post what was given and to who. I hope to be able to give to many animal shelters and nonprofits for children.
